Edited on 2 Oct 2026: We re-checked every price in this post against our records for 23 September 2026. We removed 8 items: 8 whose "was" price was our own estimate from past prices, not a price the shop advertised — for example Strawberries 250g at ALDI, shown as $3.29 (was $5.29); Pink Lady Apples 1kg at ALDI, shown as $3.99 (was $5.99); Capsicum Yellow each at Woolworths, shown as $1.23 (was $2.23). We also removed wording that called these specials "genuine" or "verified" (the "was" prices are the shops' own, and we don't independently verify them). We removed the average-discount chart too, because it could include estimated "was" prices.Edited on 3 Oct 2026: IGA shops set their own prices. The IGA prices in this post are from one shop, Ashcroft's IGA Erskine Park in New South Wales, and we now name it next to each IGA price. Other IGAs may charge different prices. The prices themselves are unchanged.
